After interrogating what and how we could make the workspace a more sustainable and efficient environment, we quickly learned that it wasn’t just about creating new tools and applications, but a matter of distribution, placement and organization.
Anticipating the global shift to hybrid work models, Questtono Manyone designed and developed the Where platform, a SaaS solution to office space constraints, antiviral needs and productivity challenges. Listed as one of the 50 Startups that are changing Brazil, the solution can be customized to different business and employee needs, languages and cultures.
Present and future: The hybrid work model
Some say the pandemic didn’t necessarily change the world, but rather sped up an evolution that was already in motion. Having the privilege of working behind the scenes with companies across various industries, we can say firsthand that this was, indeed, the case. Even before the pandemic, we were already dealing with the obstacles of limited space and a continuously growing workforce.
When we approached this problem, we came with a vision that office areas should be fluid – having the ability to ebb and flow according to the scale and needs of a team.
Where is designed to assist HR in its mission to track viruses and other possible contagious diseases. The platform allows workers to remotely reserve desks, conference rooms, and more, as well as the ability to share important feedback, such as requests for repairs and temperature adjustments.
Where can even be programmed to coordinate restaurant reservations, orders and lunch breaks, so the company can rest assured that all needs and protocols are met.
Process: Creating a B2B office management platform
We gathered a variety of diverse, multi-disciplinary professionals such as software engineers, programmers, designers and researchers to fully immerse ourselves in the challenges of on and offline offices. Our starting point was to address the barriers of the “old” world along with the limitations of the “new” one.
Questtono Manyone’s talents were able to pull together, in a record time, a modular web based platform that takes only two weeks to be implemented via our B2B model. “We chose to travel the web based road, because the app one is limited; it is linked to operational systems and restricted by virtual stores. The way we have it now allows people to access and use it easily, from every and anywhere, via browser”, explains Nagib Nassif Filho, Questtono Manyone’s CTO. With the white label in place, the two week delivery time will only decrease over time.
“It is important to notice that Where was created to accommodate shifting company size, making sure it is the right tool for any situation, whether you are a small company or a big one”, he says, “all it takes is for the client to send us their needs and blocks, along with an updated plan of their office space, and we’ll do the rest”.
Where can be installed remotely, allowing each company’s HR to easily control the custom dashboard, from start to finish.
Final destination: The hybrid, efficient workspace
“If you don’t know where you are going, any road will get you there” – there is no need to fall into the rabbit hole to acknowledge that this lesson echoes beyond Wonderland. We learned, from Where, that you don’t need to revolutionize procedures and implement breakthrough innovation to initiate a cultural transformation in your team.
Where paves the way to a subtle but game-changing shift in teams’ behaviour – something that can not be measured, but experienced (although hard stats are always available through the employee and HR dashboard).
Where can help companies optimize 40 to 50% of their physical space when utilizing the platform for a hybrid work model, empowering employees to choose when and where they want to work.
Empowered to make better, data-driven decisions via Where, businesses with around 100 employees can expect to save around $10k USD every month, based on current corporate real estate listings in cities like São Paulo. By remotely and digitally managing their space and workforce disposition, businesses are not longer tethered to the traditional idea that more space is needed to accomodate team expansions.
Where is not only a temporary solution to the pandemic response, but rather a hybrid work platform that enables employers to better serve the needs of their employees by building trustworthy and transparent office solutions.
